Mapped Out have been putting on events in Tyne and Wear since February 2001. That was in Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear up in the North East of England. We've also been based at other venues around the coast before we moved into Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. In 2006 we shifted over the wet stuff we call The River Tyne (or alternatively the North/South divide) and spent an enjoyable year or so in Sunderland.
The Mapped Out DJ line-up is Ash (Mapped Out), Dave "Weller", Smitre, Claudine & Phil Hall (co-founder returns). We play from the 6t's Mod sounds through to current Indie sounds and in between we manage to let rip with Mod Revival, Northern Soul & Ska. It somewhere between a mod night and a scooter rally. We're not afraid to play our classics as long as you're not afraid to dance to something new!
We decided to take a breather at the start of this year but will be back in the very near future back on Tyneside. We're currently looking at a number of options and hope to bring you news of that very soon.
